almond is a cute extension of the name Alma, and the slug came into my life when I was diagnosed with a "type" of ADHD called SCT - sluggish cognitive tempo. 

Sluggish Cognitive Tempo (SCT) has been defined by a constellation of caregiver-reported symptoms that includes daydreaming, difficulty initiating and sustaining effort, lethargy, and physical underactivity. 

almond slug the brand is infused with the pathos of fighting the negative aspects of this condition, while using the positive parts to buoy brightness and enjoyment of life. 

i use bright colors and textures to stimulate the brain. i studied traditional art for 11 years and creating anime style illustrations while emulating a traditional texture has been a great alternative to pursuing traditional fine art. i love the anime art ecosystem and community and i am constantly inspired by other artists to keep striving!
